Wall

Here is where the story of a wall begins
Our star, our hero a boy named Kevin

Kevin is young around the age of three no much more
An idea occurred to him, occurred when he was bored

Idle inspiration compelling from within
He gathered his crayons and markers, and he did begin

Before his only experiences were upon plain paper
This time the area to work with was so much greater

Imagination and action worked in perfect unison
It had been a while since he had had this much fun

So much fun he quickly lost himself in his work
Not long had passed before imagination had the wall covered

And it was just a bit longer after that, in the midst of a stroke
The familiar voice of a stern disciplinarian barked as it spoke

There she was a fuming leviathan standing over him
Fists on hips, eyes on fire, the situation looked grim

Eyes wide with surprise, Kevin knew not the reason
Instinct decried he needed to act fast, fast to appease mom

Tension grew as suspense hung; forever it took
Dedicating his masterpiece to her would surely get him off the hook.
